The picture above shows you one of SERAX novelties that are going to present at Maison et Objet 2020. The Earth collection was designed by Marie Michielssen who shares a unique passion for paper and prints and the reuse of materials. Playing with volumes, the renowned designer creates a new visual print through a series of characteristic lamps and pots in paper-mâché. In the light, the warm soothing earth tones of the paper-mâché surely stand out, and for that reason, these designs by Marie Michielssen for Serax enrich the light and atmosphere in any interior.
August by Vincent Van Duysen:
August is SERAX‘s newest furniture collection and was designed by Vincent Van Duysen, a designer that is famous for creating an all-inclusive atmosphere in which he seamlessly interweaves architecture, interior design, and design objects. The Outdoor collection is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, since he chairs, lounge chair, and table articulates the sheer simplicity of the monastic life they were inspired by.
Rugs by Bea Mombaers:
At Maison et Objet 2020, you’ll also have the opportunity to see this incredible rug design created by Bea Mombaers at SERAX incredible stand. Fascinated by unusual discoveries and unique objects, this renowned designer has grown from the passionate seeker of things into one of the foremost women on the Belgian art and design scene for the past 20 years. Not only has she built an international reputation as an interior stylist with a prestigious portfolio, but Bea’s Knokke lifestyle boutique ‘Items’ is also a well-known reference for exclusive collector’s items and coups de cœurs.
RUR:AL by Anita Le Grelle:
Last but not least, we have SERAX incredible tableware collection designed by Anita Le Grelle. Born and raised in Antwerp, the renowned designer works have been on display at numerous exhibitions in Belgium and London. In 2013, she entered the world of pottery and today her famous sculptures reflect a deep-seated love for craftsmanship, creating and recreating, using and reusing, so that remnants of wax from a nearly burnt-out candle can be reused to create something else.
