October 2024 - January 2025
100 Black Women Who Have Made a Mark is an exciting new project from Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage celebrating the stories of Black British women who have made a significant positive change in activism, arts, education, politics, science and technology. Following an open call for nominations, one hundred women have been chosen to tell their story and have their portrait taken. Collectively the artworks, created by five Black women visual artists, will be shared in an exhibition taking place at Leicester Gallery October 2024 – January 2025. Events led by Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage throughout 2024 will highlight Black women.
